New Art on the Horizon

Looking forward to May! Why? Well, I am a teacher and the end of May signals summer vacation so that is exciting. More importantly though, May brings Vanquish Studio’s signature event: Phoenix Fan Fusion!

This year should be even bigger and better and we have three new prints to debut. We have decided to retire Harley Quinn. We have had that same Harley Quinn since the start  of our showings in 2013. We need to update our selection. The Suicide Squad Harley is on the way. Another fan favorite that is going to be retired is Batman. I’ve loved that one but it is time that a new Dark Knight protect chibi-Gotham. Armored Batman will be the replacement which should be a lot of fun to draw. And finally, you already know that we sold out of our last Groot so we decided to make Baby Groot! He is just too cute not to do and I’ve already done the inks.

There you have it, three new prints for Phoenix Fan Fusion. Join Vanquish Studio’s journey towards the Fusion Zone has begun!

Vanquish Studio thanks EVERYONE who bought a print yesterday at Dev Fare, 2019. It was our last time showing. Sadly, we will not be going back to Dev Fare next year. This was our last year. We have showed at previous years and loved the free event, thank you everybody for coming out!! See you at Phoenix Fan Fusion in May!!!

Dev Fare TOMORROW, ASU WEST, Glendale, AZ

Tomorrow I’ll be going to Dev Fare! A FREE comic convention run by ASU students. I’m a WILDCAT through-and-through so it’s tough to go there. I really want to wear my Arizona gear but instead I have to bring some holy water and crucifixes (hahahaha). Just kidding!

Love and peace right? Just Bear Down when you’re doing it.

Don’t forget to say hi and suggest an idea for an original. Have a great time!

STAR WARS Coloring Page – Boba Fett

When I first saw Return of the Jedi I was upset that Boba Fett was killed off. Seriously? He is the best bounty hunter ever. Greedo? Cad Bane? Bossk? My favorite is Boba Fett.

In fact, I love this character so much, I decided to use him as the subject for my next inking video. I made a copy of this Boba Fett with basic inking and then I demonstrate how to use different line weight to change the look and mood. It should be good. I’m including a printable worksheet with it so stay tuned!

I’m working on a bunch of new videos and, of course, I’m getting the Guided Portfolio workbook ready. After the release of my Star Wars coloring pages, I’m getting back into the drawing tutorials.

In the meantime, May the Coloring Be With You!
